Text Content & Visual Highlights

Acts 13 records Paul’s preaching at Antioch and the confrontation with Elymas, whose attempt to turn the Roman governor away from the faith results in Paul pronouncing blindness upon him.

Acts 14 continues with Paul and Barnabas preaching at Iconium and Lystra, including the healing of a man who had been unable to walk from birth. The chapter then records the violent opposition Paul encounters, including his being stoned and left for dead before rising and continuing his ministry.

Acts 15 preserves the important Jerusalem Council and the early church's consideration of questions surrounding Gentile believers, providing a particularly meaningful glimpse into the development of the early Christian community.

The combination of substantial Scripture, period typography, running headlines, and marginal references makes this leaf both visually distinctive and historically informative.

The leaf measures approximately 6¼" × 8¼", retaining the original quarto format.

It features completely untrimmed original margins, characteristic of the period, with the text block remaining intact.

The original handmade rag paper displays a deep amber time-toning with minimal historic foxing spots consistent with its age.

A single tiny historic wormhole is present within the inner margin, accompanied by very minor edge wear and gentle handling marks.

The text is exceptionally well preserved. Every letter of the Gothic script, marginal references, and distinctive running headlines remains complete and fully legible.
