For collectors who prefer an added layer of transaction security, Ages of Scripture offers Verified Escrow for qualifying acquisitions.

 

Because our collection consists of rare and historically significant antiquarian Bibles and manuscripts, we believe the acquisition process should receive the same care and attention as the artifacts themselves.

 

With an escrow transaction, the purchase funds are held by the agreed-upon escrow provider according to the established terms of the transaction. Funds are released to Ages of Scripture in accordance with those terms after the artifact has been delivered and the applicable inspection requirements have been satisfied.

 

HOW ESCROW WORKS

 

1. Inquire to Purchase:

Select “Inquire to Purchase” on the volume you wish to acquire and let us know that you would like to use escrow.

 

2. Acquisition Details Are Confirmed:

We will contact you directly to verify the artifact, purchase price, shipping information, and transaction details.

The specific escrow provider, applicable fees, terms, and payment instructions will be confirmed with you before any funds are sent.

 

Any applicable escrow fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are added to the purchase price. Standard escrow is currently approximately 2.6% of the transaction amount, while Concierge escrow is approximately 5.2%. Additional payment-processing fees may apply if the transaction is funded by credit card or PayPal rather than wire transfer.

 

3. Escrow Is Established:

Once the transaction has been agreed upon, we will initiate the escrow arrangement with the designated provider.

You will receive the appropriate escrow instructions or transaction invitation directly through the established process.

 

Please do not send funds until you have received and verified the official transaction instructions.

 

4. Artifact Preparation & Insured Shipment:

Once the escrow process has been properly established, your acquisition will be carefully prepared using appropriate archival and protective materials.

Ages of Scripture provides complimentary insured shipping within the United States, with signature confirmation required on every delivery.

 

Tracking information will be provided so you can monitor the shipment throughout its journey.

 

5. Delivery & Inspection:

Upon delivery, the buyer is asked to carefully inspect the acquisition within the agreed-upon inspection period.

For Ages of Scripture acquisitions, our standard inspection and notification window is 24 hours from confirmed delivery.

 

If you believe there is an issue with the artifact or its condition, please contact us within that period so the matter can be promptly reviewed.

 

6. Release of Funds:

Once the applicable inspection requirements have been satisfied, funds are released from escrow to Ages of Scripture according to the terms established with the escrow provider.

Escrow fees and any applicable payment-processing charges are separate from the advertised purchase price and are the responsibility of the buyer.
